A couple of weeks before Christmas 2010 I placed an order for a basket of four plants to be sent to my sister, Miss P D Tregaskis, who lives in Plymouth. I asked that it be delivered as near as possible to Christmas Day. Speaking to my sister on 23rd December she told me about the dangerous conditions of both pavements and roads, both icy and affected by snow. Hearing of this I explained bout my Flying Flowers gift to her this year, and how not to expect anything until the weather improved. It was so disappointing. However, she was amazed and delighted when at 8.45pm on Christmas Eve (conditions had not improved and it was dark) Pauline answered her front door bell. A lady courier was standing there with a big box containing my order. I was so pleased to hear this news, because this lady had obviously gone beyond what was expected of her. She is to be commended and thanked profusely for her efforts. My sister will be 87 years old on January 3rd (a bank holiday) and it means so much to both of us that an employee could care so much, instead of being at home preparing her own celebrations. I would also like to wish members of your company the same sentiment. All the staff with whom I have spoken during the past years have always been most courteous and helpful, in advising me with various options that have arisen over the orders. Happy New Year from a very satified customer. Christine Porter | Surfers Paradies 28th December 2010 |

For several years - twice a year - I have ordered Flying Flowers for my sister in Wales. She is always delighted with the gift as Flying Flowers has never fallen short of fulfilling it's promise of quality and service. However, this time, a day or two before Christmas my sister had a phone call from a lady who told her she had just opened her door and found flowers addressed to my sister on her doorstep! The lady explained that she lived at 144 (my sister lives at 113 and never the twain had met) but the lady being 88 years old couldn't venture out onto the ice and snow covered pavements to bring them to my 82 year old sister who, in turn, couldn't risk going out to collect them. Not to worry - when the kind lady's daughter got home from work she would deliver the flowers. This was duly done. My niece arriving home in Wales from the Netherlands for Christmas knew that Flying Flowers would not be happy with the muddled delivery so telephoned Flying Flowers to let them know of it. The gentleman with whom she spoke was a credit to the organisation and in addition to sincere apologies said yet another bouquet would be sent to my sister within a week or so - and so it was! My niece 'phoned again as a courtesy, speaking this time with a lady who explained that at Christmas owing to the appalling weather and the high number of orders which had to be filled some deliveries were contracted out and possibly/probably that was why the delivery went awry. My niece was again greatly impressed by the customer service representative she spoke with. She herself is a business woman and had made the original call not as a complaint but as a 'you need to know' gesture. Her second call was a "thank you". I thought you would like to know of the efficiency of your colleagues on the other side of the world. I'm sure you find it a terrific team to be part of. Incidently I found your notes on your visit to the UK most interesting - fascinating. Thank you so much for telling us something of what goes on behind the scenes. And thank you at the Perth end of Flying Flowers for your excellent service. As regards this minor hiccough as I said: "All's well that ends well" Mrs Parry | Kelmscott 25th January 2011 |

Excerpts Of Letters From Our Valued Customers
Linda Pettersson, Haberfield, NSW ~ Hi Flying Flowers! This is to let you know what happened when we sent a Flying Flowers Christmas hamper to our daughter, who lives in a village outside London. Since she is at work all day, and is unable to get personal deliveries at her workplace, we were not certain how she would get the hamper, whether she would have to make arrangements to pick it up or what. But we decided to leave it in the lap of the gods and let Flying Flowers' couriers deal with it. Between them and our daughter, we trusted that the hamper would eventually find its destination in time for Christmas. In came courier Adam. My daughter arrived home one night last week to find a note under the door telling her to look under the meter. What meter? As she has not been in the house long, she had first to find the meter. When she did, she found a stack of Christmas tree-like branches on the ground, carefully piled up to look like a Christmas tree. Pulling apart the branches, my daughter found the hamper! As she said, she found her present under the Christmas tree - just as she would if she was at home. Please pass on our thanks to the very creative and thoughtful Adam! You didn't tell us that he was part of the service when we ordered the hamper!Olivia Hoadley, Gooseberry Hill, WA ~ Just a line to thank you for processing the WA. Wildflower order for our friend who was a Bali bomb victim. The service was last Friday and the flowers arrived in good order and were seen by my son who attended. They were shown to him and were admired by those present. I am glad I saw your site on the net and we now know it works and will recommend the service to our friends.
Katharina Facchin, Gordon, ACT ~ Just writing to let you know how delighted my Aunt was with the flowers sent to her for Christmas. We opted for the $10.00 extra bunch and it proved to be fantastic. My Aunt had enough flowers to fill 3 vases and then some to share with her elderly friend in the next flat.
JW Evans, Mermaid Beach, Queensland ~ Dear Flying Flowers, I take this opportunity to thank you for the flowers that you sent on my behalf to my sister in England (Tamworth). She was over the moon as your timing was perfect. To explain, back in Feb 2002 I received a letter from my sister Sue (who lives in UK) saying that our long lost sister Jane had put an advert in the local paper asking for info about our Mum - my sister Sue replied. You see Jane was adopted out at 6 weeks old, I was 6 years old, that was 50 years ago - July 1952. The three of us get on like a house on fire, which is great, unfortunately our parents passed away some time ago. So many things have fallen into place since finding each other, including your delivery on 15th June which is her birthday. Long May Your Flowers Bloom!!!
Bill Wolstencroft, Chipping Norton, New South Wales ~ To Flying Flowers, in evening of 10th August I had delivered to my wife a bouquet purchased from '******* ** *****' Florist, 5 minutes or less distance for delivery, purchase price: $150.00. The bouquet lasted one week positioned adjacent to the 'Flying Flowers' bouquet (24AUS ~ $60)which lasted many weeks. Obviously it is cheaper and better to purchase from Flying Flowers on the other side of the continent rather than risk disappointment locally.
Jean Every, Kiama Downs, New South Wales ~ Dear Katie, many thanks for the free gift which I received last week (sample of our new soap range with thanks for ordering again in August). It was a lovely surprise and I think that the soap (natural and handmade especially for Flying Flowers) should be a winner along with your flowers. My mother says the flowers always arrive in perfect condition and last well. Thanks again.
